Deeapk T - I loved it on day 331!

Dear Mr. Bachchan,
Your and our childhood appear so similar.North India summer winds of Loo and dry heat is nostalgic to think about. Heart filled Matka or Surahi water with unique cool flavor, and a water-filled brass ‘paraat’ placed in the center of the room right under a slow moving DC fan hooked to a high ceiling girder in an attempt to keep temperature marginally down, and all doors and ‘roshandaan’ closed to prevent hot wind in, and smell of wet ‘khas’ carpets on windows that needed regular sprinkle of water, and then playing of Ludo or Snake-and-ladder or Vyapaar during summer vacations is how I spent my childhood in a huge government stone house baked from outside under scorching Sun. Alas we had to leave that place once my father retired.
We had left the house with a heavy heart, keeping a brave face but a deep cry within. I had gone to our Neem and Pipal tree to bid them a good bye, and a good bye to all squirrels living on them and sparrows that had made nests inside our rooms and veranda with our support, and I had touched each and every wall and door and window bidding them a good bye for never to return. The house had a personality, a part of which I still carry within me. The house was our protector in all our ups and downs, our companion in all our unfair weathers, a source of assurance and aspiration during our early upbringing. How I could leave that abode, only I can feel and know.
So was the childhood that was so similar to that of yours.
Thank you Mr. Bachchan for taking me to my childhood companions of Rain and Summer and the House and everything around it.

Regards

Deepak T
I also loved your views on facebook and large set of probable questions for the lunch quiz! I know I am not going to participate as some anu wije would be making a proxy on my behalf, she has hijacked my address! Hope you make it there!

I firmly believe, Animals, Birds and even non-living natural things have a personality of their own, matchable with that of human beings. In animals I can see who they resemble among my known people ... here is a beautiful unknown bird I saw first time today right in front of my window, and yes she does match someone I know in her beauty and grace.
And I replied back ...
That is wonderful! I know I used to relate my life to plants. I had tried to rejuvenate a dying bela plant during my school days and had related it to my success in NDA. The plant did get on its root and had a bud, I could not see the flower as someone had plucked it before I could get to have a look. And you know I succeded in written exam, passed my SSB, was medically fit but I missed joining Khadakvasala in 1977 but by four positions in the merit list! Such is the life! ...
Abhaya
Yes Deepak I would certainly like to know more of you !
